Did you know? ...OUR new WENONAH Canoes have a limited LIFETIME WARRANTY.
WENONAH and some other brands have started using the term Aramid to describe thier material.
This is the time tested material we call Kevlar.
Kevlar is a great material for canoes which we have now sold for many years and has proven to be durable and extremely light.
Visit us... to see our new Kevlar Aramid canoes in stock today.
Wenonah has dozens of
models to choose from.
Solo and Tandem models are available in Tuff-weave, Kevlar, Carbon/Kevlar or Graphite layups.
Choose from traditional cane or web seats, aluminum or wood gunwales.
Choose from web, cane and tractor-style bucket seats for most models.
NOTE; See our striking new Carbon/Kevlar layup in stock. We have a few of these custom Black Gold canoes
with contrasting a glossy black carbon exterior and rugged Kevlar interior... Beautiful!
Kevlar® UltraLight
In the 40+ years we've been a Wenonah
dealer they've developed such a reputation that to most people, "Kevlar®" is
synonymous with "Wenonah".
Sure, there are a few other brands making Kevlar® canoes but you'll be
missing out if you don't at least consider a Wenonah Kevlar®.
Wenonah makes more Kevlar® canoes than all other brands combined, nearly all of these are the "Kevlar UltraLight" version.
They have long ago abandoned building methods (such as a flexible rib system)
that others are just now experimenting with today.
Look out for non-USA "Kevlar" canoes with a painted interior and exterior.
Sadly, these are often just thin fiberglass hiding underneath with only a token amount of Kevlar. Note: sometimes Kevlar is called "Aramid".
About 95% of the Wenonahs we have sold over the last several decades are Kevlar UltraLight since this layup provides the most bang for the buck in terms of durability
along with dramatically lighter weight than your average canoe. We highly recommend Wenonah's Kevlar UltraLight canoes.
Tuf-Weave
Wenonah offers a canoe material called "Tuf-Weave" for those who value toughness, as well as light weight.
Tuf-Weave is a 50/50 blend of interwoven fiberglass and polyester with Kevlar reinforcements.
Tuff-weave is quite a bit more durable than fiberglass while also being much lighter.
Tuff-Weave always includes gelcoat for the outer layer. Wenonah has many gelcoat colors to pick from. Gelcoat provides excellent protection from UV and abrasion.
Wenonah prices Tuff-Weave very close in price to their Kevlar Ultralight layup which is hands down even lighter.
Most of our customers are surprised when they lift one of each and feel so much more difference than they imagined.
Spend just a little bit more for a Wenonah Kevlar canoe; you'll thank us!
Carbon Kevlar
Thanks to our decades long relationship Wenonah builds some special carbon fiber canoes just for us...
"Carbon Kevlar" is a stunning black Carbon fiber hull with interior Kevlar® we recommend this for the very lightest weight along with very high quality you expect from Wenonah.
Our Carbon Kevlar layup is a marriage of style and function; this classy layup is a great combination of aesthetic appeal, light weight, toughness and strength.
A great looking exterior is only half the story. For our Carbon Kevlar layup we utilize interior layers of 5 ounce Kevlar
fabric along with exterior layers of Carbon fiber.
We sometimes refer to this as "Black Gold" due to the contrast of inside and outside colors.
This "Carbon Kevlar UltraLight" will cost a fair bit more than the "Kevlar UltraLight" in return for being only slightly lighter but more unique in appearance, the ultimate choice is yours.
We always try to keep a few of these models in stock. We invite you to our showroom so you can see the glossy black carbon exterior and rugged Kevlar interior... Beautiful!
Royalex®
The company that made the original Royalex material for WENONAH and all other canoe brands shut down many years ago.
The new and improved version of Royalex is called "T-formex".
T-formex®
The new material to replace Royalex is called "T-formex". We refer to T-formex as Royalex 2.0 since it is the next generation.
T-Formex and Royalex are both a foam-core sandwich of ABS plastic with a proprietary outer skin.
When premade sheets of T-formex are heated, the inner foam core expands, this provides built-in flotation, flexibility and memory to the hull material.
When the T-formex sheet is heated it also becomes pliable enough to mold into unlimited canoe shapes. Once it cools that shape is set.
Before Esquif and Wenonah started making "T-formex" canoes it was thought that
such extreme durability was just not compatible with good paddling -- efficient canoe designs.
Now you can get a really tough canoe that is also a pleasure to paddle.
We have new T-Formex canoes in stock from Wenonah and Esquif.
Design...
If our store was
in a mall somewhere we would probably sell a lot less Wenonahs. Our selection would be much less and customers would
make their purchasing decision based on how slick the catalog was, or just whatever was on sale.
But the fact is, you can Try-Before-You-Buy on the water right at our store everyday, so most of our customers test paddle before deciding.
This is where Wenonah blows away the competition. It's all about having a good experience out there on the water.
Each year it seems we are more impressed with Wenonah's commitment to quality and
their ability to design and build canoes without compromise.
* Our "NEW" Wenonah canoes come with our limited Lifetime Warranty for defects in materials
and/or workmanship! (excludes "used", "demo", "blem", "clearance" or "closeout"
canoes, not transferable. -ask for details)

Touring:
Our most-versatile canoe has outstanding stability, superb agility and plenty of
seaworthiness.
"Balanced" is the best word to describe the Spirit II. It travels distances easily yet turns
extremely well. It's capable on rapids, and open water, too. It's big enough for trips. It's
also very stable.
At 17' long, it strikes a good balance between the efficiency of a longer hull and the
maneuvering of a shorter one.
The Spirit II is safe and roomy, too, having capacity for medium-heavy trips. With two large
people it draws just 4", leaving lots of reserve buoyancy for gear. Fully loaded it becomes more
stable yet still handles well, even on waves.

A tandem touring canoe that has superb performance for its size.
The Adirondack was designed for streams and lakes, like those of the Northeast.
Meant for day outings and trips of a night or two, it has medium volume, and paddles very
efficiently with a light-to-moderate load.
Canoe & Kayak Magazine tested it and said, "This is one smooth-paddling canoe, and it has
excellent final stability. It's a bit less initially stable, but that's what gains the
efficient paddling and glide."
If your looking for a straight tracking 16' canoe that's easy to paddle and easy to handle
out of the water, the Adirondack fits the bill.

Recreation:
A small, stable, maneuverable canoe for fishing, hunting and low-key paddling.
Designed for families and sportsmen, the Fisherman is a stable platform for outdoor
enjoyment. Short and wide, the Fisherman delivers easy turning and lots of initial
stability. Its relatively flat bottom is very steady on fair waters, and its broad
beam draws just inches. The Fisherman's easy control and shallow draught give access
to areas that would be difficult for other craft, even many other canoes.
Being that it is a stable, small hull, the Fisherman is an ideal choice for use at
camps or at a lake cabin where kids will often use it. Since youngsters are light,
they find it to be a fine paddling canoe that is also safe on waves due to its depth.
Adults, however, like the Fisherman for wildlife viewing, star-gazing, or other uses
that do not include big waves, heavy loads, or long travel. It's often used by one
or two people for hunting or fishing.

A compact canoe with classic lines, great for exploring quiet waters.
Practical for tandem or solo paddling, the Heron is a compact canoe that
is excellent for casual activities on a variety of waters. This type of
all-around canoe is often preferred by people who aren't doing exotic trips to unusual destinations, but
who enjoy a canoe casually for a variety of purposes. When we designed
the Heron we wanted to prove that a well thought out recreation design
can be pleasant to paddle as well as functional.
The Heron's blend of stability, efficiency, maneuvering and capacity makes it truly
useful in a broad range of situations. Stable enough for less experienced
paddlers to use comfortably, the Heron's performance makes traveling longer
distances practical, including one or two day trips. The Heron tracks better
and is more efficient than our Fisherman. Yet at 15 feet it is still short enough
for tight, twisting streams and occasional rapids.
The Heron is also quite practical for the solo paddler.

The Jensen 17 and 18 have not been in the wenonah catalog for many years but we keep ordering them anyways...
The Jensen is about as efficient or fast as a canoe can be ( except for full on race canoes ) and yet it's
still quite stable for 2 average paddlers with moderate gear.
The Jensen 17 can be the perfect canoe for recreational racers who want
to enter events which limit boat length to 17', or those who want a racing canoe that can pull off everyday canoeing as well.
The Jensen 17 and 18 can be the perfect canoe for a quick work out, or for paddling lakes, canals or rivers
with your family as a day long outing. Whether you are entering a local
canoe event, paddling the marsh at dawn, or tripping the back country the Jensen design is
a delight to paddle.
We stock the Jensen 17 and the Jensen 18.

A foot longer than the 17' Jensen, the 18' Jensen dominated the UCSA
Marathon canoe championships for many years. It tracks straighter and
is slightly more efficient than the 17' Jensen and has a better glide
ratio, making the 18' Jensen faster in straight ahead events and
paddling.
Either Jensen can also handle longer trips for people who pack light.
Its length provides surprising volume and buoyancy for a sleek, low profile canoe.
When Canoe & Kayak Magazine tested this hull, they said, "Few canoes
match the smooth paddling performance of this one. The shallow-arch
hull blends efficiency with enough stability to reassure newer
paddlers. It's both stable and quick. I'd rate the 18' Jensen as one
of the finest canoes I've ever paddled."

The most efficient, stable tandem tripping canoe ever.
If you travel in Minnesota's BWCA, or Canada's Quetico Park, you'll see lots of
these Jensen-designed canoes. You'll hear rave reviews, too, because the Minnesota
II is widely acclaimed by the dedicated paddlers, professional guides, and park
rangers of the lake country as the ideal canoe for long trips.
Since we make it to use where week-long outings are typical, we gave this design
high capacity and seaworthiness to hold two people with heavy gear and still cope
well with lake waves.
Best of all -- and the reason the Minnesota II is so popular -- is that it has
unmatched performance when loaded. It travels great distances, at high speeds, with
less effort than any other tandem performance canoe. We take the Minnesota II on our
family trips since nothing else has its combined efficiency, capacity, and lightness.
Canoe & Kayak Magazine noted, "Apart from superb final stability, the best feature is
how it returns to course in waves."
This hull is also ideal for trips on lakes and mild rivers wherever you find them.

Solo
Canoes Touring:
An all-purpose solo with a good blend of stability, efficiency and capacity.
The Prism has fine performance and capacity with enough stability for anyone to handle.
Our best-selling solo, we recommend it to paddlers of all skill levels and for most
types of canoeing.
At 16'6" long with a straight keel line and a very good surface-to-volume ratio, this
is a performance-oriented hull. It has sleek lines and fine ends for superb glide and
speed. Ideal for cruising with a light load, it's also fairly deep and wide with full
sides to give lots of volume. The bow and stern are slightly flared to deflect waves
and bow depth carries rearward for even more dryness.
Among our solos, the Prism's capacity and seaworthiness is comparable to the Voyager's.
And while it's not as efficient, it's steadiness makes it more comfortable for fishing
and sightseeing.
When Canoe & Kayak Magazine tested it against five other touring solos they said, "The
Prism is all about glide and speed. It's a lean boat that tracks the best of those
reviewed, yet will turn quickly enough, and returns to a stable position more readily
than other fast canoes."
The Prism holds center-stage among our solos. It's not a day tripper like the Vagabond,
or a cruise missile like the Voyager, or a fast freighter like the Encounter. It's not
any one of those, because it's all of them in fair measure, and is our most-versatile
solo.

Solo touring, Recreational racing, Fast cruising and Light tripping.
The Advantage has not been in the wenonah catalog for many years but we keep ordering it anyways...
The Advantage is about as efficient or fast as a canoe can be ( except for full on race canoes ) and yet it's
still quite stable for an average paddler with moderate gear.
When Dave Kruger designed the Advantage he knew he had a fast, capable
canoe. And true to form, the Advantage quickly became an all time
favorite of marathon and recreational paddlers alike.
Fast, efficient and responsive, the Advantage has few competitors in
the paddling world. The Advantage can keep up in all but the most
blazing training runs. It is responsive, easy to paddle and friendly
for paddlers of all abilities.
After its introduction, the Advantage proved so versatile that most
were used for pleasure. Hence, he refined it to add buoyancy making
the Advantage also a great boat for cruising and light tripping. With
a daypack or slightly larger load, the Advantage is fast and stable,
the perfect solo canoe for racing, fitness, or fast efficient cruising.

WILDERNESS
15' 4"
The Wilderness is a solo canoe that defines a new standard for mid-sized solo tripping canoes.
We designed the Wilderness to carry plenty of gear and encourage distant exploration far beyond the
reaches of smaller, less efficient crafts. Wilderness has similar speed to our Vagabond but more stability, seaworthiness and capacity.
The Wilderness carries additional freeboard and bow height
for a dryer ride in rough waters common to larger, wind exposed lakes without being excessive in depth for day use. We also married the dryness of
additional freeboard with the correct amount of tumblehome for efficient paddling technique.
Designed as a tripper, the Wilderness is a dream on portages allowing for more time on the water and
additional distance each day. A well-rounded stability profile and moderate rocker inspire confidence
and maneuverability, whether on a loaded wilderness tour OR a relaxing evening paddle after work. The Wenonah Wilderness is available
in Royalex and our proven light weight composite constructions at a price for all budgets.
The Wilderness responds well when used with a kayak paddle (such as our 260cm double blade) for improved performance on
calm water or better control in inclement weather. The Wilderness is lighter than any kayak
of comparable length and when paddled this way, also easily outperforms a kayak of similar
size.

A small, maneuverable canoe for sight-seeing, fishing, or exploring on moderate waters.
The Vagabond is only moderately wide but is full from bow to stern, giving good stability
and volume for its size. Though only big enough for short trips, it holds plenty of gear
for fishing and casual use.
The Vagabond is manageable and enjoyable for new paddlers, and its small size makes this
canoe very easy to car-top and carry, and convenient to store. Vagabond has similar speed to our Wilderness but less stability, seaworthiness and capacity.
The Vagabond also responds well when used with a kayak paddle (such as our 260cm double blade) for improved performance on
calm water or better control in inclement weather. The Vagabond is lighter than any kayak
of comparable length and when paddled this way, also easily outperforms a kayak of similar
size.

Sporting:
FUSION
13'
We also have 2 custom outfitted versions of the Fusion, either style can have the rudder or not.
Fusion the Fusion is designed for outstanding stability. It's the most stable Kevlar solo canoe you can buy.
The web seat is mounted at the perfect level and there's an adjustable footbrace which provides great leverage for single or double bladed paddling.
The Wenonah Fusion is a uniquely designed solo canoe blending the best features of
both a canoe and kayak for recreation paddling.
Seating in the Fusion is higher off the bottom compared to a kayak or pack boat where you're on the floor and at water level.
Compared to lots of canoes the seating in a Fusion is lower. so you have a lower center of gravity and lots of stability.
For most of our customers the Fusion is easy to keep going straight on the lake but super easy to turn on a stream.
Fusion Angler we offer an Angler version of the Fusion, this set-up includes a number of features you'll find ideal for Fishing.
There's two Scotty Rod Holders, two Scotty mounts and one Scotty cup holder.
Camera Ready we offer a version of the Fusion for outdoor photographers. This set-up includes features that ensure you'll be ready for the perfect shot.
There's one Scotty Baitboard (which is a great work station) one Scotty Camera mount and one Scotty cup holder.
All these custom features can be removed in about a minute which leaves a nice low profile for cartopping.
.
Paddling
Extra stable, Fusion can be paddled with a double or single blade paddle and its foot-controlled rudder option makes maneuvering or tracking in wind a snap.
The padded high back seat comes standard and allows for hours of comfort out on the water.
Fusion responds well when used with a traditional single blade, or a double blade paddle (such as our 260cm double blade) for improved performance on
calm water or better control in inclement weather.
Fusion is lighter than any kayak of comparable length and when paddled with a double blade, easily outperforms a kayak of similar size.
MUCH Lighter, quicker, and more maneuverable than any fishing kayaks, the Fusion Angler also runs
drier and holds more gear while keeping all that gear readily accessible. The Fusion Angler is outfitted for personal
accessorization of rod holders and storage trays for a truly customized craft. Rudder is
optional.
