For over 40 years Royalex was the best material on the market for whitewater and expedition canoes.
When the manufacturer of Royalex ceased production in 2014, Esquif saw an opportunity to design and produce our own new and improved Royalex 2.0 at the home of Esquif in Quebec, Canada, we call this new version T-Formex.
With 18 years of experience making Royalex canoes we wanted to create something that would allow us to use our existing molds while not compromising the toughness that our customers demand.

In front of the seat, our custom thwart has 2 more flush mount rod holders, plus 2 Mighty Mounts with a Cup holder and a RAM rod holder. Alternatively available in mighty mounts... T-formex is great stuff. Light weight and extremely durable. Notice there are no seams or joints to come apart, or hundreds of rivets to leak (as on that 1940s technology aluminum canoe.)
