Our Cockpit Covers are made to our specs right here in NY State by the country's top manufacturer.  
In the past, many of our kayak manufacturers had their covers made by our supplier rather than actually make their own. 
Unfortunately, now if they still even offer covers, these kayak companies have started getting cheaper covers made overseas, and of course, they stink. 
As new kayak models are introduced we work closely with our supplier to ensure the best possible fit. 
We've been selling and using kayaks, sprayskirts and cockpit covers for over 50 years -so nowhere else has our knowledge and selection. 
We have Cockpit Covers and Spray Skirts in stock for new models as well as classic models made many years ago. 
Rest assured, our Cockpit Covers, Cockpit Drapes and Spray Skirts are still made in USA and are the best available. 

Cockpit Cover materials: 
1.) Standard Nylon (for all sizes.)  2.) Heavy Duty Cargo Cover material (up to 60" cockpit only.)  3.) Neoprene (up to 40" cockpit only.)

Cockpit Cover Categories: 
1.) one person kayaks and two person kayaks with separate cockpits.  These may be up to 60" cockpit. 
These may be standard in-stock size and shape, OR a special made to order size and shape. 
2.) two person kayaks with 2 seats in one very large cockpit. [see our Tandem Recreation Cockpit Covers.] These may be up to 104" cockpit. 
These may be standard in-stock size and shape OR a special made to order size and shape. 
3.) Universal cockpit covers [see Cockpit Drapes.]  These come in 3 sizes for one person or two person kayaks up to 104" cockpit. 
These fit over the entire cockpit area, instead of grabbing the cockpit rim. 

For many kayak models with a good cockpit rim we can offer you a "Made to Order cockpit cover OR sprayskirt"
-custom made just for your kayak model, so it fits better than any standard size. Please email us if you would like some help.

We also sell Danuu Storage/Transport covers -these fit over the entire kayak or canoe for outstanding UV protection. 
Since the Danuu is not waterproof and not critter proof, we still recommend our Heavy Duty cockpit cover with these.

Many "box stores" (like Dick's) sell "No Name" kayak brands like "Pelican, Lifetime, Emotion, Future Beach, Sun Dolphin, Potomac".
Model names and features of these brands are changed so often that each Big Box store can have their own version.
Each year Box Stores demand cheaper and cheaper kayaks. This results in very little "lip" to the cockpit rim -since this makes the kayak cheaper to manufacture but also means a sprayskirt or cockpit cover has little to grab and will not stay on properly.
For models like this a standard sized cockpit cover will just come off too easily for us to recommend it.
An excellent option is a "Cockpit Drape" -these work great on ANY kayak since they grab around the entire kayak rather than just the cockpit rim. We can fit ALL single kayak models with two sizes: "Cockpit Drape" or "Cockpit Drape X". We can fit ALL tandem kayak models with one size: "Cockpit Drape, Tandem".
No spray skirt can grab and stay on the cockpit rim of models like these... SO if you really want a kayak that is DESIGNED to hold a spray skirt you should return your purchase to the big box store and shop at a Specialty PaddleSport store with a qualified staff.

We've enhanced performance by adding a Rim-Grip technology to our 1/4" shockcord sleeve and our adjustable bungee fit system: this secures the cover to the cockpit rim better than other covers we've seen.

Getting a cockpit cover to grab the long straight sides of one of these extra-large cockpits can be a challenge,

This is the largest size which we use for tandem recreation kayaks (two person kayak with one very large cockpit and two seats.)
We also use this on a few one person kayaks with a very large cockpit (Old Town Predator 140, Jackson Tripper or Kilroy.)
A great solution for Pelican and other big box store kayaks that have been manufactured without a well-defined lip on the cockpit rim.
Getting a cockpit cover to grab the long straight sides of one of these extra-large cockpits can be a challenge,
the Drape gets around that problem by grabbing around the entire kayak at several points, instead of just the cockpit rim.
You can even use the Cockpit Drape on a sit-inside type kayak, a sit-on-top or an SUP paddle board to help keep your craft clean during storage or transport.

This is a custom, made to order cockpit cover, shipped from our manufacturer to 48 States (please call us to order if you're from AK, HI or Canada.) Allow 4 weeks to be made.
Made from Nylon cockpit cover material with water resistance and good durability, Rim-Grip technology, and our adjustable bungee fit system. Our adjustable Rim-Grip 1/4"shockcord sleeve holds the cover securely to any kayak with a good cockpit rim. Handy forward grab loop for easy on-off.
Great for storage... keep dust, bugs and spiders out of your kayak!
Please see our Heavy Duty cockpit cover if you plan to store your kayak outdoors, or you plan to trailer, or cartop with the cover on, since it will be a longer lasting, more waterproof material than nylon or neoprene.)
