Adirondack is a tandem touring canoe that has superb performance for its size.
The Adirondack was designed for streams and lakes, like those of the Northeast.
Meant for day outings and trips of a night or two, it has medium volume, and paddles very efficiently with a light-to-moderate load.
Canoe & Kayak Magazine tested it and said, "This is one smooth-paddling canoe, and it has excellent final stability.
It's a bit less initially stable, but that's what gains the efficient paddling and glide."
If you're looking for a straight tracking 16' canoe that's easy to paddle and easy to handle out of the water, the Adirondack fits the bill. The bow and stern height are kept low to catch less wind but with lots of overall volume for capacity and riding over boat wakes. 2 web seats keep you centered in the canoe and provide versatile seating.
At 16ft the Adirondack is a good option for the occasional solo paddler. If you face the other way on the bow seat you will be not too far from center in most conditions. In windy conditions you may want to adjust gear. OR add a Coghlans water jug to the forward end for better balance. (You can also ask us to add a center seat or kneeling thwart to this canoe for even more versatile solo paddling.)
Our comfortable SuperSeats are easily added to the existing seats, these provide a padded seat and supportive backrest while you paddle. SuperSeats can face either direction, and they are quickly removed for cartopping.

Your new Wenonah Adirondack is so light and compact for day use but long enough for tripping, Yes, you can do it all.
Extra efficient for touring or tripping, with good stability for relaxed paddling and low-key adventures. Adirondack has good depth and volume in the center, with very fine entry at both ends. Ample free-board is maintained when loaded with gear for the day or weekend.
Ultralight to carry, plus a versatile layout makes the Adirondack not too large for a relaxing afternoon paddle in tandem OR solo mode.
Wenonah is known for efficient canoes. Quite often our customers are surprised how easily this canoe moves thru the water. Most other 16ft canoes are not nearly as efficient.

Although we have a great selection right now, our suppliers have told us supplies will be tight for the 2026 season. Demand for kayak and canoe related items is at an all time high. Due to complications, supply chain issues and also unprecedented demand, many of our suppliers are taking longer to fill our orders.

Boats that we ship to you MUST be signed for. Any shipping prices on our website are only an estimate; we will confirm actual prices with you via email once we have your order/address.
NOTE; We recommend that you completely unwrap and inspect the boat from one end to the other, making note on the shipping document of any tears in the packaging and/or damage. By signing for it you are agreeing with the shipping company that your boat has been received in good condition.
Once a boat is shipped it is yours. You are responsible to inspect the entire boat and note any damage on the shipping document. We are not trying to be harsh here but simply blunt as to the shipping company's rules.
