Made in USA replacement thwart for the original in your Old Town Canoe.
Canoes less than 16ft generally have a yoke in the center (installed at the balance point) plus one thwart. Those greater than 16ft should have two thwarts in addition to the yoke.
This is a high quality made in USA item we have used and sold for several decades! Clear UV-resistant varnish finish.
Choose size; you can Easily trim the size to fit into Your canoe perfectly. Just seal the cut ends with varnish or exterior polyurethane.
The real deal; made in USA. 1" thick select ash stock, trimmed and finished by hand to 7/8" thickness. Clear varnish finish. Made one at a time with a durable, UV resistant gloss finish. Yes, we do have thwarts in stock for many OLD TOWN CANOES such as... Camper, Pathfinder, Katahdin, Stillwater, Tripper, Penobscot and many other models.
The 32.5 inch thwart is the only size in use by Old Town today. We also stock 34.5 inch and 32 inch and more sizes... see our Heavy Duty Canoe Thwart. The 32 inch, 32.5 inch and 34.5 inch Thwarts are measured to the longest point (ends are angled).
Most models use a shaped or contour thwart (from overhead view). Pack, Pack Angler and Discovery 119 models use the 29 inch heavy duty thwart with a straight profile. The Tripper and Tripper XL use a 33.5 or 37 inch heavy duty thwart with a straight profile.
Not sure? order our Heavy Duty Thwart in a longer size than you need and cut it down to the exact length and cut angle needed to perfectly fit Your canoe. Seal the end cut with exterior polyurethane or marine varnish.
NOTE; the size of Yokes and thwarts used in a particular Old Town model has varied over the years. We recommend that you measure your canoe prior to ordering.
Old Town no longer makes many popular thwart sizes so if you don't see your size here check out our Heavy Duty Thwarts. We offer classic sizes for Old Town Canoes that Old Town no longer makes, OR you can order a longer size and cut it to fit your canoe perfectly. Just seal the cut end with exterior grade varnish or polyurethane.

Boats that we ship to you MUST be signed for. Any shipping prices on our website are only an estimate; we will confirm actual prices with you via email once we have your order/address.
NOTE; We recommend that you completely unwrap and inspect the boat from one end to the other, making note on the shipping document of any tears in the packaging and/or damage. By signing for it you are agreeing with the shipping company that your boat has been received in good condition.
Once a boat is shipped it is yours. You are responsible to inspect the entire boat and note any damage on the shipping document. We are not trying to be harsh here but simply blunt as to the shipping company's rules.
