For several years now, Jackson no longer sells rudder kits or rudder parts. Fortunately, we have the solution... The Universal Rudder kit for Jackson Kayaks.
We have rudders in stock for Jackson Kayak models such as the Big Rig, Cuda, Kraken and Journey.
We find that this Universal Rudder kit is easily adapted to the various Jackson Kayak years and models.
Standard setup allows for rudder control using adjustable footbrace pedals.
This is Great for turning, OR for maintaining your course in adverse conditions.
Popular with fishermen for maintaining, or adjusting your position.
This Universal Rudder design may be easily raised or lowered into the water while you are seated, it flips back onto the deck when not in use.
For Jackson Kayaks, select the Universal Rudder Kit, short pin with bracket, (please specify your model when you order.)
Universal Rudder Kit, short pin with bracket -fits tons of brands and models with 2 nuts molded into the stern end of the kayak. This allows a rudder bracket to be bolted on. The rudder pin passes thru the bracket, a split-ring on the end of the pin keeps it from coming out. Several Jackson models and lots of others use this style with a bracket.
This Universal Rudder kit -includes Rudder body, with lines to raise and lower the blade, and rudder cables to turn the rudder left or right using the foot pedals and tracks. Instructions included.
Tubing Kit for Rudder Cables, $30. -includes Tubing, P-clips and hardware to install tubing in your kayak which the cables will run thru. Most newer kayaks are "rudder ready" and already have this tubing installed. Rudder Kit above does Not include the Tubing Kit.

Boats that we ship to you MUST be signed for. Any shipping prices on our website are only an estimate; we will confirm actual prices with you via email once we have your order/address.
NOTE; We recommend that you completely unwrap and inspect the boat from one end to the other, making note on the shipping document of any tears in the packaging and/or damage. By signing for it you are agreeing with the shipping company that your boat has been received in good condition.
Once a boat is shipped it is yours. You are responsible to inspect the entire boat and note any damage on the shipping document. We are not trying to be harsh here but simply blunt as to the shipping company's rules.
