So, you want a tandem kayak, which means you want an extra seat to share the experience, but you’d rather not paddle a polyethylene barge. That’s why we designed the Santee 140T ― a tandem kayak with a solo soul and lightweight attitude. It cuts through the water with stability and performance, and, with our unique Trylon construction, it weighs in at a svelte 57 pounds, which means you won’t need a winch and pulleys to get it off your racks. There’s also a roomy hatch and some added cockpit space for your day-tripping gear. You can even adjust the front seat for solo paddling on those days when you want to paddle alone.

- Cockpit Drape, tandem, $89.95 Keep bug and critter out when you store your kayak! A great idea for storage or travel. The Drape grabs around the kayak and covers the entire cockpit area.
- SplashDeck, tandem, $99.95 Our splash deck skirt is popular to help keep you dry as well as for keeping too much sun getting on your legs. SplashDeck does not fit around your body, so you are still free in the cockpit.
Although we have a great selection right now, our suppliers have told us supplies will be tight for the 2026 season. Demand for kayak and canoe related items is at an all time high. Due to complications, supply chain issues and also unprecedented demand, many of our suppliers are taking longer to fill our orders.

We usually ship in stock orders within a few days. Occasionally, we may send items direct from the manufacturer which may take longer. If you have concerns about getting your order by a certain date, proper fit or sizing it would be best to place your order by phone so you can ask us your question.

We can often quote shipping for you within NY State.........Also, we have a truck going from NY to FL each month........And, we have a truck going from NY to New England 2x per month........if you would like to buy some canoes or kayaks from us,....please call us, ph;(585) 682-4849 or email us for a quote.
Boats that we ship to you MUST be signed for. Any shipping prices on our website are only an estimate; we will confirm actual prices with you via email once we have your order/address.
NOTE; We recommend that you completely unwrap and inspect the boat from one end to the other, making note on the shipping document of any tears in the packaging and/or damage. By signing for it you are agreeing with the shipping company that your boat has been received in good condition.
Once a boat is shipped it is yours. You are responsible to inspect the entire boat and note any damage on the shipping document. We are not trying to be harsh here but simply blunt as to the shipping company's rules.
