As seen on many of our premium canoes; these Heavy Duty wood hangers work great with many types of gunwale designs or materials. Replace your dowel type seat spacers for a premium look and a very rigid, secure seating assembly.

Heavy Duty Wood Canoe Seat Hanger kit. (shown) Each Hanger is made of solid USA grown ash: 4 inches tall and 12 inches long overall and about 5/8 inch thick. Mounting holes are 8.5 inches on center.
Sold as a set of TWO hangers sold here with OR without hardware.

Use with your web or cane canoe seat and connect with bolts/nuts. These hangers mount between the gunwale and seat. The bolts go thru the gunwale, then thru the hanger and then thru the seat. There's a cup washer for the top and a flat washer and locknut underneath. This is the same hardware we use in modern or vintage canoes we sell in our shop, such as Old Town, Mad River, NovaCraft, Rheaume and Esquif.

Re-use hardware you have, OR we can include Hardware.

Hardware includes: FOUR 6-inch stainless steel 10-24 bolts, FOUR stainless steel locknuts, FOUR stainless steel flat washers, FOUR stainless steel 3/4" cup washers.

Although we have a great selection right now, our suppliers have told us supplies will be tight for the 2026 season. Demand for kayak and canoe related items is at an all time high. Due to complications, supply chain issues and also unprecedented demand, many of our suppliers are taking longer to fill our orders.

Boats that we ship to you MUST be signed for. Any shipping prices on our website are only an estimate; we will confirm actual prices with you via email once we have your order/address.

NOTE; We recommend that you completely unwrap and inspect the boat from one end to the other, making note on the shipping document of any tears in the packaging and/or damage. By signing for it you are agreeing with the shipping company that your boat has been received in good condition.

Once a boat is shipped it is yours. You are responsible to inspect the entire boat and note any damage on the shipping document. We are not trying to be harsh here but simply blunt as to the shipping company's rules.
