The first solo model offered by Esquif, the Vertige is lively and very responsive. It's carrying capacity makes it a logical choice for solo canoe camping. This confidence-inspiring hull is a good learning platform for novices and provides intermediates with the speed and stability necessary for white water wilderness trips.
The Vertige ADVENTURE includes a central seat rather than a saddle to facilitate paddling in calm water as well as outfitting more in line with wilderness tripping, rather than whitewater play exclusively.
The Vertige Adventure comes with the wood seat and three thwarts. The Float bags, Floatation rigging, Padded thigh straps, and Food barrel that you see in some of the pictures are optional extras.
T-formex, built to expand your horizons on the water.
When compared to other canoe materials, T-formex is VERY Durable and yet very portable. In our experience T-formex slides over shallow rocky areas with much less damage than composite or aluminum canoes.

Echo 2.0 or Vertige Adventure... The Vertige Adventure has 4.75" of rocker whereas the Echo 2.0 has just 1.75" of Rocker and is a just over a foot longer. You will need to make the Vertige go straight with good paddling technique, whereas the Echo 2.0 will have inherent glide and tracking without working at it so hard. In bonafide Rapids the Vertige will be in its element, allowing you to not just navigate thru rapids but also play and surf, turning on a dime. Echo 2.0 is capable in rapids, just not to the point of sacrificing glide and tracking.
Although we have a great selection right now, our suppliers have told us supplies will be tight for the 2026 season. Demand for kayak and canoe related items is at an all time high. Due to complications, supply chain issues and also unprecedented demand, many of our suppliers are taking longer to fill our orders.

Boats that we ship to you MUST be signed for. Any shipping prices on our website are only an estimate; we will confirm actual prices with you via email once we have your order/address.
NOTE; We recommend that you completely unwrap and inspect the boat from one end to the other, making note on the shipping document of any tears in the packaging and/or damage. By signing for it you are agreeing with the shipping company that your boat has been received in good condition.
Once a boat is shipped it is yours. You are responsible to inspect the entire boat and note any damage on the shipping document. We are not trying to be harsh here but simply blunt as to the shipping company's rules.
