Our Heavy Duty Cockpit Cover and our Standard Nylon Cockpit Cover are made in sizes for Perception Youth Kayak models (other Perception kayak models are listed on this this webpage.)

Rim-Grip technology, our adjustable bungee fit system, plus one removable hull strap make this the best cockpit cover you can buy. Our adjustable Rim-Grip 1/4" bungee cord sleeve holds cover securely to any kayak rim.
We've enhanced performance even more by adding a removable Hull Strap to go around the middle of the kayak for extra security while cartopping!

Standard Nylon Cockpit Cover: $43.95 coated Nylon packcloth material. Our extensive cockpit fit system makes this a better cockpit cover than many you could buy. We see other brands try to fit all kayaks with just 2 or 3 generic sizes, the result of that is fitting poorly compared to our fits. Our adjustable 1/4" bungee cord sleeve with Rim-Grip technology helps to hold this cover securely onto your kayak's cockpit rim.
Standard Nylon Cockpit Cover features:
-Our Standard Cockpit Cover is light, flexible and easy to put on.
-Rim-Grip feature helps to grab onto the cockpit rim more securely.
-Handy forward grab loop for easy on-off.
-May be used for cartop or outdoor use, but not as securely as our Heavy Duty version which includes a hull strap.

We use this Cockpit Cover on the following Perception youth kayaks: Acadia Scout, Carolina 12.0 (prior to 2007), Carolina 12 XS, Prodigy XS, Umiak (made by Perception or Aquaterra.) Cockpit on these models is about 30" Long (to the outer edge.) These kayaks are generally a bit small for adults but great for kids roughly 5 yrs old to 12 yrs old.
Although we have a great selection right now, our suppliers have told us supplies will be tight for the 2026 season. Demand for kayak and canoe related items is at an all time high. Due to complications, supply chain issues and also unprecedented demand, many of our suppliers are taking longer to fill our orders.

We usually ship in stock orders within a few days. Occasionally, we may send items direct from the manufacturer which may take longer. If you have concerns about getting your order by a certain date, proper fit or sizing it would be best to place your order by phone so you can ask us your question.

Boats that we ship to you MUST be signed for. Any shipping prices on our website are only an estimate; we will confirm actual prices with you via email once we have your order/address.
NOTE; We recommend that you completely unwrap and inspect the boat from one end to the other, making note on the shipping document of any tears in the packaging and/or damage. By signing for it you are agreeing with the shipping company that your boat has been received in good condition.
Once a boat is shipped it is yours. You are responsible to inspect the entire boat and note any damage on the shipping document. We are not trying to be harsh here but simply blunt as to the shipping company's rules.
