Each set includes one stainless steel bolt, one cup washer, one flat washer and one lock nut.
A typical wood yoke or thwart is 3/4" to 1" thick plus 3/8" for washer and locknut, plus the thickness of your gunwale. Most canoe brands use one bolt per side on a yoke, thwart or handle. Occasionally we see two per side on a yoke.
2 1/2 inch size is generally used to mount yokes, thwarts or handles from thicker gunwales such as Old Town vinyl or wood gunwales and also Mad River, Wenonah, Esquif, NovaCraft wood or vinyl gunwales or NovaCraft standard aluminum gunwales.
1 3/4 inch OR 1 1/2 inch size is generally used to mount yokes, thwarts or handles from thinner aluminum gunwales, as seen on Old Town Royalex Penobscot, Canadienne, and Bell canoes.
Wenonah aluminum gunwales require a special bracket to attach wood thwarts or yokes. (yes, we have the brackets.)
Choose 2 1/2" OR 1 3/4" OR 1 1/2" bolt size.
The 2 1/2" bolt is used with most canoes. This allows about 1 inch for the thickness of a yoke or thwart, plus another inch for gunwale thickness, and still leaves a bit extra for the washer and nut.
Choose 3/4" cup washer OR 1" cup washer size.
Use the 3/4" cup washer for aluminum, wood or vinyl gunwales -its excellent for most canoe gunwale types. Use the 1" cup washer for Old Town vinyl gunwales and Esquif vinyl gunwales only. This cup washer will be too wide for most other gunwale types (since many gunwales do not have enough flat area for this larger 1 inch cup washer.)

Boats that we ship to you MUST be signed for. Any shipping prices on our website are only an estimate; we will confirm actual prices with you via email once we have your order/address.
NOTE; We recommend that you completely unwrap and inspect the boat from one end to the other, making note on the shipping document of any tears in the packaging and/or damage. By signing for it you are agreeing with the shipping company that your boat has been received in good condition.
Once a boat is shipped it is yours. You are responsible to inspect the entire boat and note any damage on the shipping document. We are not trying to be harsh here but simply blunt as to the shipping company's rules.
