The NuCanoe SideKick is a great way to transport your UNLIMITED or U10 with ease. Mounting to the Gunwale and Deck Tracks, the NuCanoe SideKick carries the load, so you don't have too. Perfect for those with geared-up setups or motors. The SideKick wheels can be easily removed or repositioned for on-water or storage. Includes adapter plates and mounting hardware - nothing else needed!
Most of our NuCanoe customers buy the Sidekick wheel kit OR a center style Cart along with their kayak. Those that don't, will end up getting a Cart eventually. We highly recommend getting some wheels to help move your kayak -so you can be adventurous. It is, however, VERY important to not only get a well-rated cart but one that works with the hull shape of your particular kayak. Check with us for the best cart to use with your kayak model.
NOTES: 75 lbs is maximum recommended gear weight when using the SideKick wheels (beyond the fitted weight of your craft.) Remove the wheels when not actively transporting your U10 or UNLIMITED. Do not store your kayak on the wheels deployed. Can be used with Tandem Seating on the UNLIMITED, but seat position/spacing is impacted. Sidekick wheels are only rated for use on a smooth surface. If you need to also carry gear OR you wish to go off-road, you need to get a center style Cart -unless you want to void your warranty. The capacity listed for any cart or wheel system is only accurate while on a smooth level surface. If you are pushing or pulling up a hill or through sand, mud or gravel, or dropping off a curb, the capacity will be less.
Mouning the SideKick cart: It is important to note that the Sidekick Wheel System must be mounted on the black anodized groove track on your U10 or UNLIMITED. Mounting the Sidekick cart on any other kayak model will void the hull warranty. Boats that we ship to you MUST be signed for. Any shipping prices on our website are only an estimate; we will confirm actual prices with you via email once we have your order/address.
NOTE; We recommend that you completely unwrap and inspect the boat from one end to the other, making note on the shipping document of any tears in the packaging and/or damage. By signing for it you are agreeing with the shipping company that your boat has been received in good condition.
Once a boat is shipped it is yours. You are responsible to inspect the entire boat and note any damage on the shipping document. We are not trying to be harsh here but simply blunt as to the shipping company's rules.
