T-FORMEX... THE ULTIMATE MATERIAL FOR RUGGED CANOES.
For over 40 years Royalex was the best material on the market for whitewater canoes.
When the manufacturer of Royalex ceased production in 2014, Esquif saw an opportunity to design and produce our own new and improved Royalex 2.0 at the home of Esquif in Quebec, Canada, we call this new version T-Formex.
With 18 years of experience making Royalex canoes we wanted to create something that would allow us to use our existing molds while not compromising the toughness that our customers demand.
While a bit less robust compared to the original T-formex, the LITE version is still Much less likely to crack when compared the most rugged options from Swift or NovaCraft. When compared to other canoe materials, T-formex LITE is VERY light and portable, yet provides much more durability. In our experience T-formex LITE slides over shallow rocky areas with much less damage than composite canoes.
The Adirondack is our #1 selling canoe and it’s winning the BEST CANOE category in the Paddling Magazine Industry Awards was the perfect compliment. This hull was designed for those paddlers looking for a lightweight solo canoe that is very stable and also VERY durable.
When compared to other solo canoes, our Adirondack provides more stability, capacity and buoyancy for an average OR a larger paddler, plus some gear.

Adirondack is available in T-former LITE, for Very good durability and lighter weight all in one great canoe. LITE models have a lighter hull, as well as lighter gunwales, lighter seats and lighter thwarts. Adirondack is also available in the original extra-durable T-formex.
Although we have a great selection right now, our suppliers have told us supplies will be tight for the 2026 season. Demand for kayak and canoe related items is at an all time high. Due to complications, supply chain issues and also unprecedented demand, many of our suppliers are taking longer to fill our orders.

Boats that we ship to you MUST be signed for. Any shipping prices on our website are only an estimate; we will confirm actual prices with you via email once we have your order/address.
NOTE; We recommend that you completely unwrap and inspect the boat from one end to the other, making note on the shipping document of any tears in the packaging and/or damage. By signing for it you are agreeing with the shipping company that your boat has been received in good condition.
Once a boat is shipped it is yours. You are responsible to inspect the entire boat and note any damage on the shipping document. We are not trying to be harsh here but simply blunt as to the shipping company's rules.
