The Squamish is a sporty rotomolded touring kayak that answers the call for a mid-sized kayak that excels in touring performance. 
Measuring 15' 8" long by 23" wide, the Squamish represents a fresh new approach to this category, incorporating some of the most desirable elements of our North American style Solstice kayaks, and our British kayak design styles, such as Gulfstream and Slipstream.

                     What is SCL poly??  SCL poly stands for "Super Compounded linear polyethylene".  This is an elite plastic with longer, more interconnected molecules with more strength, abrasion resistance, stiffness and resistance to UV rays.  We have found this to be the most durable kayak material in our rental fleet from any brand. 

This nimble kayak is perfect for day trips and overnight adventures. The Squamish bridges the gap between recreational kayaks and full-sized expedition sea kayaks. It has enough speed for coastal adventures, enough storage capacity for overnights and weekend trips, and loads of stability. Squamish has a retractable skeg system that allows you to tune the performance of the kayak, giving you the option to choose more maneuverability or better tracking depending on conditions. Lightweight and easy to cartop, and the perfect choice for touring paddlers looking to downsize from a big heavy kayak, or upgrade performance from a recreational design. 

If you're looking for a mid sized touring style kayak, the Squamish is the model for you. Much more portable and agile than those longer sea kayaks, it has a unique handling and confidence inspiring feel. Like all of our Current Design models, this kayak features the safety of two bulkheads, so now you can get out there and paddle with those longer, heavier sea kayaks with a faster kayak you can lift easily.
