Perception Seat Pad kit
A good Seat Pad provides padding inside the cockpit so your rear is not against hard, unforgiving plastic.
Found on lots of good kayaks made by Perception. Also fits tons of different brands and models. Our complete kit is an excellent replacement for the old seat pad, or new install.
Perception special design pad offers enough pad thickness to make a day on the water comfortable. Durable and easy to clean. Seat Pad is 15" wide x 12" long.

Using the new seat pad as a template, drill 1/4 inch holes in the seat pan to match the existing holes in the new seat pad. With holes lined up, insert 6 push-in plastic rivets to permanently hold the new seat pad in place.

Perception Seat, BackRest replacement
Need a new backrest? These fit lots of Perception kayaks. We have the Econo style and the Deluxe style. We have seen these used in the Swifty, Streak, America, Sierra, Caspia, and some versions of the Prodigy, Manatee, Carolina and Acadia.
Simple to install... Generally you can use your existing back adjustment strap and bungee for the Econo or Deluxe. Just run the strap thru the strap keeper on the rear of the new backrest.

Perception's Deluxe style Type A seatback design has a nice contour shape that provides excellent back support to make a full day on the water much more comfortable and supportive. Definitely a significant upgrade from the Econo.
The Deluxe is a much thicker and much more sturdy replacement to the more basic Econo style Perception backrest which is thin flexible plastic with padding on one side.

Type A Deluxe Backrest: (one backrest with pad) The bottom of this backrest fits down into a single 9" long groove in the seat pan.

These models have a perpendicular groove in the seat pan where the backrest is held down by a bungee cord and a strap is used to adjust backrest angle. You can easily upgrade your previous seat back with this more comfortable, more adjustable Dimension Seat Back. Generally, you will re-use your existing bungee and backrest adjustment strap for the new backrest. If your bungee or strap is worn, we do sell them in our store.
Dimension Adjustable BackRest is shown here with Current Designs "UltraLight Composite seat". Dimension Adjustable BackRest is also compatible with Current Designs "Revolution seat" -as well as seats in all the models mentioned above.
The Dimension BackRest may Not be fitted into British or Greenland style boats that come standard with a back band. We do Not see this fitting into non-Current Designs brands.
