Canoe Gunwale set
Choose from our selection of Gunwales to get your Canoe back on the water.
Gunwales (gunnels) here are in current production. You should NOT expect the new version to be identical to your 20 year old set. Exact dimensions have varied over many years BUT they still fit the same models of a particular hull material. What is most important is enough overall length and that the gunwale is designed to fit over a certain hull thickness (this varies mostly by the type of material, not by brand.)

Vinyl and Aluminum gunwales are sold as a PAIR; -one for each side of your canoe.
Wood gunwales are sold as a set of four; -two inwales and two outwales per canoe.

Aluminum gunwales, silver. $249.95 -sold as a PAIR. -one for each side of your canoe. Choose silver or black anodized. These fit on lots of fiberglass and Kevlar canoes. Best for canoes with a flatter profile and very gradual shear line (not good for traditional canoes with a lot of re-curve in the ends since the aluminum does not like to bend sharply.)
Overall Length 18' 6" (easily trimmed to exactly whatever length you need.)

Aluminum gunwales, black anodized. $289.95 -sold as a PAIR. -one for each side of your canoe. These fit on lots of fiberglass and Kevlar canoes. Best for canoes with a flatter profile and very gradual shear line (not good for traditional canoes with a lot of re-curve in the ends since the aluminum does not like to bend sharply.)
