Old Town Canoe End Cap
Choose from our End Cap selection to fit your new OR classic Old Town Canoe.
End Caps are sold per EACH; so order one for each end of your canoe. We also sell Rivets separately for installation.
Its very unlikely that these molded end caps will fit a NON-Old Town Canoe. Exceptions would be some White Canoes, Rouge River and Rockport canoes which were made by Old Town.

Please Note; several different end caps may have been used on a particular Old Town Canoe model over many years. The new version that fits your canoe may look different than your old end cap. The new end cap will often have different dimensions than the older version. End Caps here are in current production. You should NOT expect the new version to be identical dimensions to your 20 year old end cap. Exact dimensions have varied over many years BUT they still fit the same models. What is important is that they are the same angle and therefore fit onto the same shape. How to check which end cap is best for your Old Town Canoe: For example, lets say you think Type B looks about right, here is how to check... Measure from the tip of your canoe along the gunwale 19" for (the length of the new end cap B.) then at that point, you measure across your canoe (the width of the new end cap B.) At that point 19" from the tip it should be about 13.5" wide. You probably have some wiggle room on these dimensions (about 1/4" each side) it just needs to be close.

Type A; classic "Sport" end cap -fits Appalachian, Osprey, Discovery 133 or Predator 133.
Type A6; classic "Penobscot" end cap -fits Royalex Penobscot 16 or 17 with aluminum gunwales (not for vinyl gunwales).
Type B; "Sport" end cap -fits Guide 147 + 160, Discovery Sport or Predator 155 ss, Rockport, Rouge River Rouge 14, River 154, Saranac 146, Saranac 160.
Type C1; new "Recreation" end cap -fits models with a re-curved end such as Camper 15 +16, Pack, Pack Angler, Pathfinder, Hunter, Tripper 172, Tripper XL and Discovery 169.
Type C2; new "Discovery" end cap -fits models such as Discovery 119, Discovery 158, Discovery 164, and Discovery 174 -all with vinyl gunwales. Also fits Penobscots with Vinyl gunwales (not for aluminum gunwales).
Type d2; new "Stillwater 16" end cap -fits the Stillwater 16. All these were made with vinyl gunwales and had a separate wood handle. Length 7.5 inches, Width at wide end 5 1/4 inches. (note: we have only one left.)
Type T1; wood inside transom plate "Discovery Sport" for stern end -fits models such as Predator or Discovery Sport 13, 15, 17 for square stern models.
Fits inside back end, wood.
Type T2; wood outside transom plate "Discovery Sport" for stern end -fits models such as Predator or Discovery Sport 13, 15, 17 for square stern models.
Fits outside back end, wood.
Type T3; black transom cap for "Discovery Sport" for stern end -fits models such as Predator or Discovery Sport 13, 15, 17 for square stern models.
Fits over back end, black plastic, with handle at each corner.
