Ocean Kayak Gear Strap, Hatch Strap Kit
This Strap kit is standard issue on certain Ocean Kayak models such as Scupper PRO, Malibu, Yak Board, Caper, Scrambler, and many more. This Strap kit works Great on ANY kayak brand or model.
On some kayak models this kit is used as a Gear Strap.
Pass the strap over top of, or thru the handle of your cooler, dry bag or crate and cinch it down.
This strap is mounted to the kayak and will hold your Gear very secure.

On other kayak models this kit is used as a Hatch Strap.
Add Extra security to any existing hatch by running this strap over the hatch for extra hold down power so it cant peel off in rough water, or while driving at highway speeds.
Pass the strap over top of your Hatch and cinch it down.
This strap is mounted to the kayak and will hold your Hatch very secure.

This may replace your old hatch strap OR gear strap on ANY kayak model.
Strap is 1.5 inches wide. Overall Strap Length is adjustable from 6 inches to 32 inches long.
Includes Hardware.
Blind rivets pass thru the oversized washer and then thru the small hole in each strap end, and then into the kayak.
Clench the rivets with your rivet gun and Voila! Your Strap Kit is Secure.

The included blind rivets are good to use regardless if you have access inside the kayak hull or not. Nuts and bolts may be swapped for the rivets but you will need access inside the kayak to tighten the nuts. Some Ocean Kayak models may have existing threaded inserts molded into the plastic hull. These mounting points require special 10-32 hardware.
