The Cherry Oars are finely crafted with a cupped blade, very smooth and quiet thru the water! Cherry Oars are Lightweight with good strength and durability. Reg. $320/pr. Sale $169.95 For wood oars you can use an oar lock pin set that clamps around the oar or one that pins thru the oar.
The Sculling Oars are finely crafted basswood with a sculling blade, very smooth an quiet thru the water! These are the Alden or Piantedosi type of wooden sculling oars, not a utility type. Sculling oars are Lightweight with good strength and durability. Reg. $500/pr. Sale $289.95 For sculling oars you use special pin set that clamps around the oar, this type is generally seen on sculls or rowing shells (unless you have a special rowing unit that drops into your canoe or paddle board.)

Proper oar length varies with the width of your craft but in general we recommend 6.5ft to 7ft oars for most for most wider canoes, Old Town Discovery Sport, Grumman SportBoat and most aluminum jonboats OR rowboats.
