So the rudder bracket can be 1.5 inches tall, or the kayak can be 1.5 inches thick, and this rudder pin can still be connected to the kayak. There are some kayaks that are up to 3 inches thick where the rudder pin goes, so our \u003cstrong\u003eLong Pin\u003c\/strong\u003e rudder would be needed \u003cem\u003e(Please, let us know how your kayak is setup.)\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur \u003cstrong\u003eShort Pin \u003c\/strong\u003erudder works on older Tsunami kayaks that have 2 bolts\/nuts molded into the end of the kayak, which holds a stern mounted bracket to which the rudder pin connects (yes, we have that bracket if you need one.) This is not for the current model Tsunami. (yes, we also have a rudder we use on those new versions.) We also have a rudder body replacement just for Current Design kayaks (specify your model.)
