This open cockpit tandem version of the Gannet II is the
ultimate in versatility. It can be paddled as a tandem or single. The front
seat adjusts for solo paddling. There is room to paddle tandem and carry a
small child. The open cockpit design means that a child is always within easy
reach and sight of the stern paddler. The Gannet II is a perfect platform for
cruising the bay, fishing or bird watching. Very stable, a snap to get in and
out of, and super easy to paddle, this kayak is really user friendly. No need
to shy away from open choppy waters, a unique multi-chined hull and
dolphin bow provide excellent seaworthiness without sacrificing glide or
tracking. The standard Gannet II has a skeg. The "Gannet II EXP" includes a
stern hatch, bulkhead, padded seats and a foot controlled rudder
system.
