Deluxe Knee Pad Kit (Thigh Pad) for kayaks
Knee Pads (sometimes called Thigh pads) provide padding inside the cockpit, so your knees are not against hard, or rough-edged plastic.
We use these when outfitting well made kayaks like Old Town and Perception to make them even better. Deluxe Knee Pads also fit great on tons of different kayak brands and models of plastic or roto-molded kayaks with a traditional cockpit rim.
The special design of the Deluxe Knee Pad offers enough pad thickness to make a day on the water very comfortable, while also being flexible enough to be form fitting to the kayak.
Deluxe Knee Pads are a durable and easy to clean material.

Hardware included. Easy Install. Our Deluxe Knee Pad kit includes hardware plus knee pads for left and right. Using the new pad as a template, drill holes which will match the existing holes in the new pad. With holes lined up, insert push-in plastic rivets and bolt/nuts to permanently hold the new knee pad in place.
Each Heron style pad uses 5 push-in plastic rivets secure the pad to the cockpit rim and 3 bolts/nuts hold the pad up under the deck. Each Vapor style pad is installed with 4 push-in plastic rivets.

Old Town Heron style: (as shown.) Fits many Old Town kayaks such as Heron 9, Heron 11 and Otter. Fits LOTS of other rotomolded kayak models with a traditional cockpit rim. Generous pad size allows your knee to be padded against the side of the cockpit rim, or with your knee under the cockpit rim. Each Pad is 14" x 6".
Old Town Vapor style: (similar pads but a different hole layout.) The Old Town Vapor and Trip models have a plastic flange extending down from the cockpit rim that your knee fits against. Each Pad is 15" x 4".

Deluxe Knee Pad kit: (as shown.) We use this style lots of other PLASTIC (or rotomolded) kayak models with a traditional cockpit rim. Fits great on most Perception models such as Wave, Prodigy, Swifty, Drift, Manitee, Prodigy or Sound.
Recommended for all Plastic, or rotomolded kayak models with a traditional cockpit rim (where the lip of the cockpit rim faces inward.)
Each Deluxe Knee Pad uses 5 push-in plastic rivets to secure the pad to the cockpit rim and 3 bolts/nuts hold the pad up under the deck.
